Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Data Protection
Your information will be held by Northern Integrative Health Practice (NIHP Durham). Our employees and your self-employed practitioner are personally responsible for maintaining customer confidentiality.
You will be asked for permission to contact you via email, telephone or text message. Your personal contact information will be held securely in our electronic booking system and in your personal (paper) file. Treatment notes by your practitioner will be stored in your personal (paper) file only.
You are entitled to ask for a copy of your information, and to ask for any inaccurate information to be rectified at any time.
Your information is retained solely for the management of your appointments/ treatment plan and is a record of your treatment/ health history so that you can stop and re-start at any time. We will retain your details for 10 years after your last appointment, at which point they will be securely destroyed. However, you are entitled to ask that your information be erased/destroyed at any time.
Your information is not subject to automated decision-making, transferred outside the UK or processed for any other reason. Your information will never be shared with a third party, unless requested by you, or we are required to do so by law.
